Poverty and Co-existence – Henry Suubi

Poverty
Poverty is  the state of not having  income to meet one’s  basic needs .That’s absolute poverty. However the state in which a society lives and can not meet minimum standards is what is called relative poverty. In Uganda we are somehow lucky in a sense that at least we aren’t fully enclosed into the two extremes. The causes of poverty range from society to the other but most importantly are low and poor quality systems and levels of education among others. My concern today is education  slightly in singular. At times what we study  and how far we reach in studies defines our fate in our day today life.  Let’s always take extra care in subject / course selection in line with abilities and availability of employment opportunities.
We have  always tried to change our  lives to better our living standards by working hard to enrich our income . Surprisingly there are few job markets for the sem – skilled and skilled . The skilled jobs that are there need highly educated professionals but due to poverty most of our brothers and sisters fail on the way to attain the most expensive Education. To those who manage tuition through whatever means they are demoralised and ridiculed by those from the most welloff families or even those whose life is trying! This tends to create an impact that scholars who aren’t strong enough end up pulling out of school and start lousy schemes which do not bring back food on table and or even an idea to the society. Take an example, u all remember well a single  ridicule tweet by an individual on a Makerere university student- Suubi Henry who entered the university gate with a metallic suitcase ! The story washed the internet across the globe ! Such  an act though it opened his doors to fame, was not called for. Not everyone that uses negative remarks as stepping  stone. Its among other factors that demolise those who aren’t strong enough ending up in miserly and uncalled for decisions.
As citizens,  we need to be good ones, co~ exist , help one another,  guide and give encouragement to those pursuing all those ventures that bring development not only to themselves but also society.  By doing this, we are creating a peaceful atmosphere in the environment hence enhancing development  .
As BRAVO SHOES , We are not exceptional in the society .  We do all it takes but within our means .we didnt feel good on seeing how the world came up to ridicule a ohne Suubi who managed by all means to study and get admitted to university . That act could have caused him alot . Not only him individually but also the family,  society and the country at large .  Once again , as Bravo shoes , we pledge to keep in touch and support  of Suubi Henry and his four siblings. We shall continue to dress them school  shoes in their entire school life!
Dear country men and women.  Let’s join hands together to build a good society that will enhance development of our country  .
